Gently remove your plant and set aside.  Empty your bottle and refill with hot water.  Shake vigorously and use a bottle brush if necessary, as many times as needed.

Refill with cool water.

Gently insert the bottom of the root column into the bottle opening and begin to turn it in the same direction as you did to form the column while lowering into the bottle.  Don’t push the top of the plant as it could snap off.  Instead gently feed the roots  into the water while continuously to turn them.  Once they are submerged you can rotate back and forth to create a lovely arrangement of the roots, or not.   Return the bottle to your favorite growing location.
